AMERICAN COCKROACH

Color & Shape: Reddish Brown in Color, up to 2 inches long.

Habits: Although American cockroaches are found in residences, they are much more common in larger commercial buildings such as restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores, preparation areas, basements, and steam tunnels.

During summer months, they can be found outdoors in yards and alleys. In the United States this is the most common species found in city sewer systems.

Frequently they enter structures by being brought in, coming up from the sewer system, via drains, or occasional mass migration from other structures, dumps, etc., during warm weather. Although they feed on many kinds of food, they show a particular fondness for fermenting food.

BROWN BANDED COCKROACH

Fact: A single brown-banded female cockroach has the potential to produce about 250 offspring!

Habits: Brown banded cockroaches are found throughout structures but show a preferences for warmer areas, over 80 F (27C). Be sure to check ceilings, anything high on walls such as a picture frames and wall moldings, near appliance motors, and in light switches, closets, and furniture.

GERMAN COCKROACH

One of the most prevalent roaches in Kansas and Oklahoma, the German Cockroach.

German Cockroaches are small, brown and tend to get into our kitchens and bathrooms.

One female German cockroach can reproduce over ½ million in one year.

TIPS for CONTROL: Budget Pest Control achieves total elimination, at a fraction of the cost by dispensing boric acid powder in a fine, even flow, imparting an electrostatic charge that enables the powder to stick to virtually any surface, as well as the roach’s body, for an indefinite period of time, with our patented P.E.S.T.® Machine. We make one treatment for our residential customers and guarantee it for one year.

ORIENTAL COCKROACH

Big black bugs…some people call them water bugs.

The Oriental Cockroach lives in the lower regions of structures like basements and crawl spaces. When you do see problems with these bugs, it’s usually around the floors and lower cabinets and garage. We make one treatment and guarantee it for 6 months.

What are the benefits of the patented P.E.S.T.® MACHINE?

ROACH FREE – ONE SINGLE TREATMENT…AND continues to work for ONE YEAR! We Guarantee it. All of this at a fraction of the cost for
over the counter products, sprays or other services.

Budget Pest Control achieves total elimination, at a fraction of the cost by dispensing boric acid powder in a fine, even flow, and imparting an electrostatic charge that enables the powder to stick to virtually any surface for an indefinite period of time, with our patented P.E.S.T.® Machine.

Roaches can flatten their body in such a manner, that they can travel and hide almost anywhere. They can inhabit areas near electrical heat sources, such as refrigerator compressors and fan motors.

Preferred dwellings are in voids, cracks between, under and behind cabinets and where counter tops touch walls and sinks…

This is where the P.E.S.T.® Machine, EXCELS above all other forms of roach control. The electrostatic charge enables the boric acid to be applied in the “preferred dwellings” and makes it “STICK” to treated surfaces and to the roach’s body as well.

STEP 1: PREPARATION FOR INITIAL TREATMENT

COCKROACHES – HOMES AND APARTMENTS

Kitchen Pantry

Containerize and remove all exposed food to tables and cover with a cloth or sheet.

Remove all packaged goods, dishes, pots and pans, utensils and all other items from kitchen cabinets, drawers and pantry shelving.

Place on tables and cover with cloth or sheet (Cabinets and shelving must be completely emptied before treatment. Any “deep” cleaning should be done before treatment.

Equipment

Leave all equipment that has a motor in it and gets warm, on the counter tops for treatment.

Clothes Closets & Wardrobes

Place all clothes, items on shelves and in drawers and all items from closet floors on beds and cover with a sheet.

Utility Rooms, Furnace, Hot Water & Storage Areas

Remove all items from shelves and cabinets.

Bathrooms

Empty all cabinets, shelves, drawers and under the sink. Place toiletries in plastic bags.

Chest of Drawers, Vanity/Beside Tables

Empty all contents of chests and bedside tables in bedrooms and place on beds. Stack empty drawers on top of each other to facilitate treatment.

Fish, Birds & Other Animals

Remove before treatment.

Trash Containers

Empty all trash containers before treatment and clean inside, outside and bottom of containers.

Dishwasher

Empty all items from dishwasher.

NOTE: Residence must be vacated for a minimum of one hour during and after treatment.

STEP 2: AFTER INITIAL TREATMENT

CLEAN UP

The customer is responsible for all preparation and clean-up after the initial service. Boric acid powder is odorless and about as toxic orally as table salt You may wish to use a paper dust mask during clean-up procedures and cover any open wounds.

Hard surface floor areas should be dry mopped, remove any excess, then damped mopped. Boric acid powder will make hard surface floors VERY SLICK! Be careful while cleaning floors.

There will be a light film of boric acid powder on surfaces where treatment was performed. The customer/tenant agrees to REMOVE ALL VISIBLE DEPOSITS OF BORIC ACID POWDER before children and pets are allowed to re-enter and before items are placed back in drawers and on shelving.

***DO NOT USE A VACUUM CLEANER OR WET RAG to remove deposits on shelving and in drawers.***

USE A FEATHER DUSTER, starting at the top of the cabinets working your way down and brushing excess dust onto the floor. Once on the floor, sweep or vacuum powder up, then damp mop hard floor surfaces so they will not be slick.

If you have any further questions for concerns please call us at 1-866-394-7911 (Oklahoma) or 1-800-364-5739 (Kansas).

THE PEST® MACHINE…ACHIEVING PEST ELIMINATION!

The task of pest control these days requires (1) pest elimination and (2) a safe way to achieve that goal. There is little tolerance any more for a few stray cockroaches or any other insect pest, but neither is there a tolerance for a pesticide odor or hazard.

That’s why, every so often, when a truly innovative means to achieve this comes along, it demands every-one’s attention. Such an innovation is the P.E.S.T.® Machine, a tool which imparts an electrostatic charge to boric acid as it blows it into all those wall voids, cracks and crevices, all of the places where cockroaches and other insect pests lurk and breed. Ironically, boric acid is an old, tried and true pesticide, known to overcome the problems of chemical “resistance” and one, in addition, which is less costly than newer pesticides being introduced.

“It’s the difference between night and day servicing with the P.E.S.T.® Machine and conventional methods,” says Guy Halverson of El Paso’s Bug-A-Boo Pest Control, one of the pest control operators (PCO) that licensed its use. Halverson has been a pest control professional for nearly eighteen years, until two years ago, his market area was his hometown. Since then, however, we has expanded throughout all of Texas and New Mexico. “Word of the P.E.S.T.® Machine has been circulating throughout the Industry for several years. Interviews with several of its licensees suggests that It won’t be too long before its use becomes far more widespread.

A HOST OF ADVANTAGES

The P.E.S.T.® Machine is the first patented crack and crevice duster designed specifically for pest elimination service on commercial accounts. Among Its advantages are: The elimination of technician fatigue because it’s fitted with two oversized wheels that provide easy handling for the thirty-five pound device. Once in place, its thirty foot hose and small valve, weighing a few ounces, eliminates carrying a sprayer about, while providing the technician with the ability to regulate the pressure from as low as 2 psi for small crack and crevice work to as much as 20 psi for treating wall voids or sub-cabinet voids.

Its unique feature of imparting an electrostatic charge makes all the difference between whether the boric acid dust adheres to the surfaces it contracts or whether, as is commonly the case with other dusts, it floats to the bottom of a treated area and remains there, missing the bulk of the cockroach population.

Developed for machine reflects their experience with the hard realities of achieving total pest elimination in difficult commercial accounts. (Note: the P.E.S.T.® Machine may also be purchased by those outside the pest control Industry, because utilizing boric acid does not require state certification for its use.) They created a machine that contains a large pot capable of holding several pounds of powder, thus cutting the amount of time needed to fill and maintain sufficient chemical on site. They built a particularly sturdy machine that runs off of any ordinary 110 outlet.

A STEP FURTHER

Then they went one step further, each machine comes with a lifetime warranty on each unit. In addition, they developed highly detailed protocols and a training program insuring that proper use of the P.E.S.T.® Machine, will allow a PCO to reportedly guarantee up to 99% pest elimination.

With this guarantee, the U.S. Department of Defense has completed efficacy and durability tests, and has demonstrated interest in acquiring a large number of the units for use in military housing, barracks, and other facilities. It’s already been used to treat the U.S.S. Enterprise.
